HOW TO USE THE WILDMAN SYSTEM
If you have been added to the Wildman record system, here are the instructions on how to log an animal in your care:
1. Enter Wildman Records by clicking the button above.
2. Enter your username and password, which have been provided to you by Mel/Lola or your species liaison officer.
3. Click on the "ANIMALS" button.
4. On the main page, change all drop-down boxes to "ALL," and then make any necessary changes, such as entering your name or group carer.
5. Click "ADD."
◦ Ensure that you fill in all the boxes (most have drop-down arrows) and that dates are entered correctly.
◦ Verify that ages are entered correctly (if you don't know the date of birth, select one of the other options or untick the box for "unknown").
◦ Identify the rescuer as either yourself or a member of the public.
◦ Provide as much information in the notes section as possible, including weight, lengths, etc.
6. CLICK SAVE WHEN FINISHED. If you forget to click SAVE, your entries will be lost.
7. Click "RETURN."
8. Ensure that all drop-down boxes are changed to "ALL," and you should see your animal record there.
9. You can then go back into the animal record to edit or add other details such as growth, diet, photos, etc. Remember to press the "EDIT" button first.
To TRANSFER AN ANIMAL TO ANOTHER CARER:
1. Click on the animal record number.
2. Click on the "CARER" button.
3. Click "ADD."
4. Add the name of the carer to whom the animal has been passed in the "TO" section.
5. Click "SAVE". If you forget to hit SAVE, your entry will be lost.
6. Click "RETURN."
The animal will now appear in the new carer's records, not yours.
Please note that you cannot delete animals; you can only change their status by editing their records.
Any problems, please call Lola or Mel on 4946 1281 or your SLO.
